Policy & Advocacy
Our Aims
- Center lived experiences from underserved communities by elevating community voices and ensuring individuals know where and how to share their stories with trusted organizations, coalitions, and decision-makers.
- Connect individuals and families to organizations, services, and initiatives that expand access to resources, opportunities, and support systems—without requiring them to navigate complex systems alone.
- Strengthen accountability through connection and transparency by helping community members understand available supports, rights, and pathways, and linking them to institutions and partners responsible for delivering those services.
How We Work
Evidence-Based Advocacy
We listen to community members through conversations, group discussions, and surveys to understand needs and strengthen connections to resources.
Community-Led Advocacy (Change Agents)
Community members in our programs are supported to lead community-led initiatives on key issues—from healthcare access to local services—and are connected to organizations, networks, and resources that help turn ideas into action.
Powerful Partnerships
We collaborate with local community organizations, coalitions, and networks to strengthen resource access, share knowledge, and support collective action that benefits communities.
